Game summary

It must have been some sort of festival of Khaine, because the elves got angry early, grinding the ball up the pitch to score, KO'ing most of the human team as they went. The humans induced a magic sponge which meant that following the elven score they were able to recover most of the KO's, and then recover the remnants at half time. The humans came back from half time angry and set about beating the elves down, sending many to the KO box and killing an elf. The elves were just as angry and both teams were quickly down to 7-8 players. Not able to risk the stall any longer the humans scored in turn 7. With both teams severely weakened, the elves set up against the humans balanced defense with an overloaded offense, secure in the knowledge that a 2 turn TD is very possible for an elven team. The human team capitalised by stealing the ball on a defensive blitz. The elven Blitzer Falern somehow managed to get in position for a risky blitz against bulldozer blitz and improbably rolled a double POW, the only result which would have gotten the ball free. The ball went out of bounds and landed in a scrum at the half way line. Both teams had an opportunity to get it to a receiver with a turn to go. The human attempt involved very many dice (and very many more elven KO's) and was ultimately successful allowing the humans to steal a last second victory.
