Game summary

Wood Elves vs Orcs for the Dungeon Bowl, the least one can say is that the hatred was palpable on the pitch and in the tribunes.

GlamRok Clan won the toss and decided to receive. The elvish kicker got over-excited, and not only did he kick high, but far out of the field. Varn Hail'in, the orcish Thrower, got the ball back and Nuffle seemed to be smiling on the Clan, who built a cage and started bashing the elves, alas without doing much damage. To make things even worse, for the elves, Bregalad's first decision was to take root, after which he got on his main job, which was to keep T-Wrecks, the Troll, out of the way. Enggoth Sagerock, the strip ball wardancer, then had a go at Varn Hail'in, but an overlooked guard and the thrower's sure hands limited his chances, whilst leaving Lithaldoren, the other wardancer, in a dangerous position.

Unsurprisingly, he was stunned at the beginning of round 2, as was Daggael Riverbrook, one of the linemen, but the orcs were still failing to cause real damage. Using some of his teammates as meatshields, Enggoth Sagerock managed to jump in the cage and bring down Van Hail'in with a fractured skull (let Van Hail'in fans be reassured, the Apothecary was able to fix this). But Sylien Acornpool, one of the linemen, then failed to dodge out of danger, leaving the ball on the ground, in the middle of the orc cage.

Turn 3 started with Fear Da Tears, one of the Black Orc Blockers, badly hurting Lindir, the elvish thrower, and Kveen, another Black Orc, also badly hurting Filgal Duskwood, one of the linemen. Twist da Head off your Sister, an agile orcish lineman, then picked up the ball and moved forward, the cage reforming around him. Enggoth Sagerock, once again, managed to bring him down and to run and dodge into safety, but the ball was still in the middle of the cage. In a bold move, Lorcaelyn Lichenlake, on of the elvish catchers, managed to dodge in the cage, pick up the ball despite the two angry orcs, and dodge out again and pass it to Elladan, the other catcher who ran deep in orcish territory.

Turn 4 saw White Snake Eyez, an orcish blitzer, fail to bring Elladan (who got saved by his block skill) down, even after trying twice, and Elladan, dodging out with difficulty, ran to the opposite side of the pitch, misjudging the distance with his nearest opponent, whilst Lithaldoren could not dodge out to bring him protection.

In turn 5, an angry White Snake Eyez tried again, to no avail, to block Elladan, and the orcs positioned themselves as strongly as they could to prevent him from reaching the line. Alas, their efforts proved useless, Elladan touched down, and the score was 0-1.

Thanks to another high kick, Twist da Head off your Sister was able to get the ball. In addition, Daggael Riverbrook, a lineman, was knocked-out by Kveen, leaving the elves with only 8 players on the pitch, and properly surrounded by the orcs. Enggoth Sagerock tried to play his usual ball stripping game, but a failed dodge left him wriggling on the ground. 
Running forward, Twist da Head off your Sister tried to pass the ball to Wham! in your Face II, a blitzer, but fumbled, and Inksz failed to save it. turnover. Enggoth Sagerock then proceeded to throw Twist da Head off your sister on the ball, in the hope of pushing it in a better place, which partly succeeded. Alas, Lithaldoren failed his leaped pick-up, and this time, Inksz caught the bouncing ball. Chained pushed, he managed to get near Wham! in your Face II and to give him the ball, which the Blitzer then carried behind the line. 1-1.

With only half a turn before half time, the Tree Huggers had to hope that Nuffle would favour them. Which is not exactly what happened, as the blizzard started to blow over the stadium. Still, a group of strong elves, with the invaluable help of Bregalad, managed to push Elladan within running distance of the touchdown zone. Lorcaelyn Lichenlake, substituting as a thrower, then picked the ball and handed it to him, although both the Sure Hands and the Catch skill had to be used, and Elladan managed to dodge through the ennemy lines and score. 2-1 at half time.

The second half started with a rock thrown on the pitch, seriously injuring one of the Black Orc Blockers, Fear Da Tears, and prompting Danish_Dan, GlamRok's coach, to shout about being outbashed by elves. Alas, Sylien Acornpool's failure to pick up the ball brought the elves turn to a quick end. The orcs put real pressure on the elvish team, although still failing to do some real damage. Sylien Acornpool finally picked the ball, handing it off to Tokith who passed it to Lorcaelyn Lichenlake, who retreated slightly from the front line. And then, Daggael Riverbrook, having recovered, decided to avenge himself and KO'd Kizz, the fourth Blocker. The elves failed to protect the ball, though, and thanks to a blitz by Wham! In your Face II, the ball was thrown out of bounds, and touched back in an advantageous position for the orcs. Twist da Head off your Sister was then able to pick it up and start to progress, in a cage, towards the touch down line.

Of course, Enggoth Sagerock then decided to leap after him and, although not bringing him down, stripped him of the ball. Elladan picked it up, but knocked himself out while trying to dodge out of T-Wrecks' grip. Running back, Twist da Head off your Sister managed to pick the ball up again.

Once again, Enggoth Sagerock, although outnumbered, deprived him of the ball, but Sylien Acornpool failed to pick it up. And that is when the elves got a taste of their own medicine. Twist da Head off your Sister picked the ball up, ran, and passed it to Wham! in your Face, the fast moving blitzer, who ran deep in elvish territory, hopefully out of reach for Enggoth Sagerock. Alas, this was not the case, and a sprinting War Dancer managed to send him to the ground, although none of the Huggers was near enough to be able to pick the ball up. Wham! in your Face II got his bearings back, picked up the ball and scored. 2-2 at the start of turn 7.

Apparently, Suger, the Huggers coach, was brilliant at kick-off, which would prove decisive later on. Both wardancers and the remaining catcher managed to go deep behind the orcish line, whilst Faudis Sagesky got his hands on the ball. The turning point of the game came when White Snake Eyez failed to push him to the ground.

There was just one turn left, but the elves pushed some more brilliant play (still in the blizzard, remember). Lorcaelyn Lichenlake ran behind the scoring line, then Faudis Sagesky dodged to safety, handed the ball to Sylien Acornpool, who then passed it to the waiting catcher. There was no miracle during the last orcish turn, and a very disputed game ended on a score of 3-2, with the Tree Huggers winning the Dungeon Bowl.
