Game summary

First ever victory for the Tree Huggers, who, for once, had Nuffle blatantly on their side. The game started nicely with a very classic two turns touchdown for the Woodies, and everybody was expecting a quick and heavy backlash from the Supervixen. Alas for them, the Tree Huggers managed to blitz through the attack, and by the end of turn three, the score was already 2-0. And the Tree Huggers blitzed again. This time, the Drows' defense was stronger, and the Wood Elves had to wait until the 8th turn to score. End of first half, 3-0 And guess what? Another blitz at the beginning of the second half. But the Tree Huggers had grown overconfident by then, and they didn't manage to take control of the ball. Instead, one of Supervixen's blitzers managed to get deep betweent their line, and to score the first touchdown for his team. The Tree Huggers seemed back to their usual clumsy game, losing the ball almost immediately after kick-off, allowing the Drows to bring the score back to 3-2, with a good chance of bringing a draw within the remaining four turns. A riot delayed the pursuit of the game, but nevertheless, the Woodies, this time, were able to hold on to the ball, increasing the goal difference to 4-2. The weather was nice for the last few turns, and at first, Supervixen thought that they would be able to save their honor by scoring a touchdown, with a solid cage in view of the line in turn 7. But Enggoth Sagerock, one of the wardancers, managed to sneak up to the ball carrier and, although failing to make him fall, to strip him of the ball. In a daring move, Lorcaelyn Lichenlake, the catcher, ran, retrieved the ball from under the nose of the Dark elves, and passed him to Faudis Sagesky, one of the linemen, who started running towards the drows' touchdown line, could not be stopped and scored a fifth touchdown in the last seconds of the game. In an interview that had to be magically accelerated to be understandable, Bregalad, the Woodies' treeman, declared "With the Tree Huggers, we might not win often, but we win like we loose, with style".
